Other Publication Options

Students who publish their papers in the WSU Psychology Student Journal are free to submit their papers to other journals or conferences.  Here are some options for publishing undergraduate research:

1) The Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse. http://clearinghouse.missouriwestern.edu/.  This is a clearinghouse of undergraduate research from all disciplines.  It is only available online.  The submission process is all online.  All papers are accepted, though you will need a faculty sponsor who will have to register and get a password.  Dr. Fried can help.

2) The Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research. http://www.psichi.org/pubs/journal/home.asp
This is the premier undergraduate research outlet.  It is published both as a paper and online journal.  The first author must be a Psi Chi member and an undergraduate at the time the research was conducted.  Submission in not online.  See the website for details.

3) Undergraduate Research Journal for the Human Sciences published a wide range of empirical and theoretical research papers in the area of Human Sciences, including Psychology.  There is no deadline for application.  Further information can be found at their website:
http://www.kon.org/urc/urc_research_journal.html.  An email address is provided to send inquiries.

4) Journal of Psychological Inquiry publishes undergraduate research in Psychology.  It has a rolling review and is published once a year.  Information and submission guidelines can be found at http://puffin.creighton.edu/psy/journal/index.asp.
