GEOSCIENCE 405 - Topics in Geophysics
Spring 2006 - Dr. Jennifer Anderson
Spring has arrived in Minnesota!!! Students in Geophysics finally got to play outside in the nice weather at Lake Winona. Students set up a 12-channel seismic system to determine depth to the water table and the velocity properties of near-surface materials. The seismic source used was a student-powered sledge-hammer; interestingly no earthquakes were detected during this exercise. Check out our work!
