Forensic Career Assignment:

There are a whole host of careers people with varying skills, background, education, and interest can participate in the field of Forensic Science.  To give you an overview of some of the careers available and the education and background necessary for these positions, each student will give a brief (1-2 minute) presentation on one career in Forensic Science.  Careers will be assigned in class.  Prior to class, prepare a 1-2 minute presentation (with 2-4 Power Point slides) on what your position does in their job, their main responsibilities, and the education and skills required.  Information about employment prospects (i.e. how easy it is to find a job in this area) may also be useful to your colleagues.  Email me your Power Point presentation as an attachment no later than noon Tuesday January 20.  My email address is jfranz@winona.edu.  Include in the subject line of your email your name and the career you are investigating.  In class on Wednesday, January 21, each student will give a 1-2 minute presentation on their forensic career.  There are numerous resources on the internet and elsewhere to find information about these careers including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences web site which features an up-to-date and extensive job listing.
