Research interests: I am interested in the fate of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in the environment and in environmental education. Currently my group is developing analytical methods to detect environmental concentrations of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in aquatic systems. Some of the chemicals studied currently and in the past include erythromycin, penicillins, tetracyclines, musks, diphenhydramine hydrochloride, sulfanamides, and triclosan. I am also interested in environmental education, particularly in renewable energy and education about the Wildlife Refuge system.
