To join Professor Paulson's virtual classroom perform the following steps:

  1. Open your browser (use Firefox or Internet Explorer-do not use Chrome) and navigate to this url: https://connect.shot.smsu.edu/class/ 

  2. Enter as a Guest
    You MUST type in your first and last name-otherwise you may lose credit when I check the attendance logs and cannot verify your identity.
    Then press "Enter Room"


    Note: do not check the radio button "Enter with your login and password"- that option is only availabe to faculty and staff that have metnet accounts.
    At this time undergraduate students are not eligible for metnet accounts.

  3. You may be asked to install Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or above.

  4. If this screen appears, click the 'Yes' button
    add on

    If you do not accept the installation you will not have full functionality.
    Note that the Adobe Acrobat Connect Add-in is listed in the Control Panel.
  5. From the menu choose Meeting>Audio Setup Wizard...
    and perform all steps
    you are strongly advised to use a headset for best audio performance- not just for you but for others in the meeting
  6. In the Audio Set Up Wizard, make sure not to select enhanced audio, do not test for silence.
