Obtaining Product Keys
If you need to obtain a product key in order to install MSDNAA software (such as Visio or Project) follow these instructions.
- Browse to the 'password reminder page' https://msdn02.e-academy.com/elms/Security/PasswordReminder.aspx?campus=winona_ba
- In the Username box, enter your WSU email address (jrstudent1234@winona.edu) and press the Submit button
- Within one to 30 minutes you will receive an email with a subject of "Login Reminder - Winona State University - BA Site License" from "msdnaa_softwarecenter@e-academy.com" (wording may be slightly different). This email will contain your password.
- Browse to the 'login page' https://msdn02.e-academy.com/elms/Security/Login.aspx?campus=winona_ba
- Login using your WSU email address as your username and the password that you were just sent.
- Navigate to the Software listing and select the software you need.
- Purchase the software. You will go through a process in which it looks like you will be buying the software, but you will not be charged. Choose the CD-ROM option. Some software allows you to purchase an actual CD-ROM, for that you will be charged a nominal fee. At the end of the process you are presented with an invoice that contains a Serial Number. This is actually the Product Key, which you will need for the software installation. If you ever lose the Product Key and need to reinstall the software, you can just repeat the process and you will obtain the same Product Key. The Product Key you are given is only for your use, and is traceable to you.
