MLCA - Mid-level Communication Arts & Literature

The CAL Minor, MLCA, leads to an "Endorsement" to teach Communication Arts & Literature in grades 5-8.  It is designed for students completing a degree in Elementary Education: K-6 (ELEM).  If you are not working toward a teaching license, you don't want to take the MLCA minor.

For information on your ELEM program, you will need to consult with your primary advisor, who will be a professor in the College of Education.  For your MLCA requirements, you will receive advice from Rob Brault, in the English Department, or Dan Lintin, in the Communication Studies Department.
