Course Description

CME 260 - Mechanics of Materials - 3 S.H.

Concept of stress and strain, internal reactions (stresses and strains) to external load for axially loaded prismatic structural members; torsion members and beams; deformation and buckling of structural and machine elements. Statically determinate and statically indeterminate problems. Prerequisites: CME 250 and MATH 213.
