Prototype Part

You are required to develop a fully functioning prototype of a composite part.

selection and/or design of part

acquisition and/or fabrication of plug

fabrication of tooling (5% of overall course grade)

fabrication of fuctioning prototype

evaluation by instructor (5% of overall course grade)
evaluation by class (5% of overall course grade)

presentation summarizing prototype development process (5% of overall course grade)

in a team presentation format (each team member has a speaking role) show/describe:

(1) the plug or model used
(2) the tooling used in the fabrication of the part (describe materials and process)
(3) the final part (describe materials, process, and finishing)
(4) what (if any) changes would you make to the tooling and/or part fabrication process if you were to do it again
